If you haven’t gotten to Mitsuri’s backstory yet don’t read idk if this would be considered a spoiler for the anime or not, anyways.

Why do I ask this seemingly unimportant question? I’m making a bag themed around her and an art piece of her and I wanted to include flowers, but that led me to a bit of a predicament.

On one hand, she’s associated with cherry blossoms (Sakura blossoms) because of the Sakura mochi that she freakin loves. And again people associate her pink hair with Sakura blossoms and Sakura mochi because of the color and her backstory.
However, in episode 10 of the Swordsmith Village arc, around the timestamp of 17:20 left, there are blossoms of a tree featured in the background and shown on screen twice (I attached screenshots of the blossoms so people don’t gotta go to a whole episode just to find what I’m talking about).

At first I didn’t really think much about it and thought they were just cherry blossoms because of the sakura mochi thing, BUT after doing some research I found out that some people say they’re plum blossoms because the flowers don’t have a stem or at least not that long of a stem before the actual blossom part.
So, for the sake of my art and also out of pure curiosity, which of the two flowers would you associate her with?

Also I wasn’t sure if this would be a discussion post or an anime question post so uhhh yeah.

Would you associate Mitsuri Kanroji with plum blossoms or cherry blossoms more?
