Seeking advice regarding repairs for Honda Civic IMA Hybrid
Hello Everyone,
I bought a Honda Civic 2009 IMA Hybrid almost a year ago. There were no issues until a few months ago (did almost 10k miles without any issues).
A few months back in October, I did a MOT (plus relevant repairs to pass it).
After sometime the check engine light came on. Did a servicing and it went away for a week or so. But it came back again, the mechanic says it's some hybrid battery codes. However there are no IMA lights on.
Recently I had few instances recently where the car failed to start. I jumpstarted and the car ran fine. I took to Halfords and they said the battery is in good condition, and the issue is probably due to cold weather and car staying idle for long time.
I was wondering if I should be taking it to the authorized Honda dealer? Would it be expensive to fix it?
If you know a good mechanic shop near Liverpool or Manchester please let me know.
Many Thanks
