Sedgwick Claim Question

Employee Question

I have worked for Lowe's for a little under a year as a MST. Today, I was written up for 7 call-ins. I was told to call Sedgwick for "intermittent leave". I did, and was hung up on, so I filed claims online.

3/7 out of the claims were for my spouse being in the hospital (I had to physically be with them and it was a life threatening illness).

4/7 of the claims were for random days I called off due to my own illness. I am a disabled veteran who went through combat, and 3 of those 4 days were for a mental health condition I suffer from since the service.

Has anyone dealt with having a disability while working at Lowe's? I asked my therapist for an accommodation letter; however, my therapist stated they do not write those. Sedgwick wants a letter from a doctor indicating I need accommodation (to call out occasionally).

I'm just looking for others' experiences and if anyone has any words of wisdom.

Thank you in advance.
