My teacher BANS computers unless it’s online gambling??
I’m an 18-year-old senior, and this has been bugging me for a while.
Every time I pull out my laptop in art class to actually do something school-related (notes, reference pics, whatever), my teacher immediately goes “Hey, no computers right now, put it away.” Super strict about it.
But then there’s me and my buddy quietly playing online poker during class… and she walks right by, sees the screen, and doesn’t say a single word. Like zero reaction. We do this pretty often and it’s honestly so much fun to pass the time.
I have no idea if she even realizes it’s real money (small stakes, but still actual cash) but we are playing with such low amounts is obviously real. and I’m pretty sure our school district has rules against this kind of thing too.
Has anyone else (teachers or students) seen/done something like this? Like kids straight-up gambling real money online during class? I’ve literally never heard of a teacher just… letting it slide like this. It’s wild.
