Champagne Region Advice

I am traveling to France in April, staying in Paris, but I would like to travel to the Champaign region for maybe a half a day. I don’t really want do a tour. I just want to find a beautiful place to enjoy a nice lunch, good scenery and atmosphere, perhaps an outside patio and a good glass of champagne.
