I'm a loser, baby
I should listen to Beck while I play chess. For context, I'm im every demographic for doing poorly at chess, I've only been playing a year, I've only spent a little time (and none recently) trying to learn about strategy, and I never analyze my games. I just like to play and i like to play fast games. I play 1+0 bullet, 3+0 blitz and 10+0 rapid. It just trips me out how I can have any score at all losing as much as I do. For the record, here are some stats for a low rates Lichess player.
I've played 5,041 blitz games and won only 43% of them. I lost 53% with 4% draws. I've played 3,902 bullet games, also losing 53%, but winning 46%, with just 1% draws. I've only played 599 rapid games, winning 46%, losing 47% with 7% draws. I guess I'm better at rapid, but it generally moves too slow for me.
In one year of playing chess, I have gotten better, up to ~900 now, but mostly I've gotten faster. In the beginning, I couldn't finish a 10 +0 game without losing on time, but now 1+0 is my favorite format.
