Failed FAR using Surgent but already started studying audit. Do I stop and continue FAR or keep going with AUD?
Title pretty much sums it up. For some background, I started using Surgent and found the lectures to be pretty boring and very vague, especially with some of the bigger topics. The last four weeks of my studying I supplemented with ninja and felt that the lectures helped me conceptually understand a lot of the material. ON three of my practice exams. I got a 61, 47, 51. On the actual CPA exam I did fail with a 57 not really surprised. While I was waiting for my fire score, however I moved onto audit and already finished the first section with the readiness score of 87 and still have 3 more sections to go.
For anyone who has been in this position, did you continue studying the next topic or did you stop and go back to the topic that you failed? Not sure if this matters but I’m using Surgent because my company only reimburses $1000 a year and Surgent was a pretty good deal when I got it.
Also not part of my post, but if anyone has any study recommendations using Surgent, please let me know. I spent 120 hours studying just to fail.
Sorry for the long post my brain is a little unorganized along with my study method.
