Why are my LORs saying "assigned" and not "received" by school?

I finished my applications a few weeks ago, but got a new LOR I wanted to assign, but it's not yet saying the school received it, when I did this a few hours ago, and I thought it was supposed to be immediate. Does anyone know anything about this??
