Does money from baby’s dad count as income?

I live alone with my baby, I work part time and get UC. If I got sent money each month from my babies father, is this counted as income? Does it need to be declared, even if it’s for the baby or to support me and baby? My account will never be over 6k, any money sent would get spent that same month either on baby, bills or rent.
