I don’t usually eat out, but I recently had to collect some information on restaurants and cafés in Kandy. They’re on the pricier side compared to your average place. I’ve put together a list below. I’d appreciate it if you could let me know if anything looks inaccurate.

• Flowerzone – chicken fried rice is good

• Cafe the Vibe - best cheese kottu in Kandy?

• Café Nuwara – good for a full meals. Burger, milk shake, ice cream

• Java café – good for coffee and snacks

• Hideout – foreigner prices. Have fights at night

• Buono – western food. expensive

• Vito’s pizza – wood oven pizza, tastes different that pizza hut

• Barista – normal prices for coffee

• Department of coffee – expensive coffee. but has some cool looking coffee gadgets

• Café secret alley - western food, foreigner prices

• Soul Food - western food foreigner prices

• Temple Brew Coffee - small coffee place good for foreigners

• June Bistro – Prices seem ok

• Café Seema – good looking milkshake with ice cream, and big burger

• Crispy day – crispy chicken and burgers, alternative to KFC?

• Castle lane – milkshake with ice cream, good looking cheese kottu
