Pure mode - KURO 101FD - DRE high significantly better?

hey everyone , I just got a new Kuro and oh my it runs great, I was just doing some testing with it tho and everyone said PURE mode is the best, but I found Optimum mode to be considerably better with the black levels in a dark room.

every post I’ve seen says to put DRE picture off, but when I put it to HIGH - the black levels literally became OLED level or better… the demo running is insane!!!

my question is - why do people say DRE picture ruins the black levels where in my case it SUPERCHARGED it!

further my contrast in Pure mode was 40 but raising it to 60 helped a lot, and changing gamma to 2!

what are everyone’s thoughts on those settings, has anyone experienced something similar? TY!
