N45EJ62 day/night endless loop

about once every couple weeks, my neighbor turns off their garage lights and puts my side camera in a predicament.

1. low light cause it to go black/white

2. it then turns on the white illumination

3. it goes to color

4. it turns off the illumination

5. repeat.

what do you all suggest? force illumination on at night?
