Vlogging in Vietnam - How to not have my phone snatched?

I'm planning on vlogging in Thailand and Vietnam and I know these countries are known for phone snatching. I know the general tip is to not stand where bikes will be traveling but I tend to record a lot and our plans heavily include drinking at these locations.

I'd love to see if there's any alternatives. So far I'm thinking either, buy a point and shoot vlog camera, DJI Osmo Pocket, or Go Pro however, all these options start at $400+. Alternatively, I could have a phone case with a lanyard that wraps around my hands but worse case, someone does try to snatch it and my wrist is attached to it. Any input appreciated!
