I don’t really know how to title this but there’s three questions or things I have to point out in a couple scenes? (My first post here)
okay I'm just gonna get right into it,
in the opening scene, just a question, how the hell did Clopin know all of that, honestly is Quasimodos backstory just like- common knowledge or did I miss a part where Clopin is hiding behind a fence or something
second thing, in the part where Quasimodo is being tied down and having things thrown at him in the festival of fools, a little bit before we can see the gargoyles are watching and honestly i just crack up every time that scene is there because i’m just imagining the gargoyles going from celebrating and being super happy and all that to just freezing in complete shock and bewilderment in the matter of seconds while they watch everything happen. don’t get me wrong I still feel super bad for Quasimodo but I genuinely just can’t stop from thinking of it and I start laughing then I feel bad because I laugh at a super important and upsetting moment-
third thing. when quasimodo finds out Esmeralda is in love with Phoebus I don’t know if it’s me (and again don’t get me wrong i really do feel super bad for Quasimodo) but it just feels a little awkward because Esmeralda and Phoebus are just there kissing and Quasimodo is standing there just watching them the whole time and it’s so silent, and not to mention the other random dude, we see him walk in with Esmeralda and we see him leave so like… was he also just watching all of this from the side? the random dude is just standing there watching Quasimodo watch Esmeralda and Phoebus kissing. he definitely doesn’t even know about Quasimodo being in love with Esmeralda so that would be so awkward just seeing all that-
i don’t even know I love this movie and i honestly don’t even mind any of these things, i just wanted to talk about them
