So I have a dilemma

I have a 16-17yr old camcorder (Sony handycam dcr-sx40) and want to get that original like 2000s fisheye lens film for a project of mine, and idk if my camcorder supports those types of lens and if it does which one to get. Now here's my dilemma, idk weither to risk spending money on a new lens that might not even fit or just get a new camera (sony ccd-tr490e,Sony Handycam CCD-TR7,sony handycam dcr-trv20,and the sony dcr-dvd610 are ones I considered) and if im being honest I didnt do alot of research on the others I just saw the quality and how they work.
