Has AI killed the next console generation?

You know the details. Data centers are hungry for RAM chips and are buying all remaining stock of them, forcing PC gamers to pay several times the price and increasing prices for pre-built gaming computers. Consoles have increasingly struggled to hit meaningful performance improvements while keeping prices around the $500 range. So, what does this mean for the PS6, or any competitors may have been planning to challenge it? Are RAM prices effectively a non-starter, or do you think people would still buy a $1000+ gaming console?
