Life doesn’t feel like life anymore
Today I woke up, got ready... Walked for 2 km, took a train to my college.... found out the college is non-functional due to elections... I alighted at my station, took a cup of coffee.... took 3–4 deep breaths... boarded the same local with that coffee and writing this post while going home again 😭
I'm 22 (M) in my final year of a B.E degree from a tier-3 college... Trying to get a job. I've been trying for a year, but I'm failing head over heels right in front of my own eyes (khud ki nazro me gir gaya hu)... I was trying to get at least a 6 LPA job.... but I failed. I still have 1 semester, but I'm so burned out, so tired, and so frustrated that I don’t even feel like moving out of my house anymore....
I did get 1 internship offer though — 6k pm 😭, and 2 job offers (only confirmation from HR, no offer letter yet). I'm sceptical about these... and both are ~4–4.5 LPA.
Idk what to do further.... I have my passion in music and other interests like films, games, etc...
That doesn't mean I don't like engineering... I love it, but not the way I experienced it during my college life.... Indian colleges (maybe only tier-3) make students hate the domain, man.... I love science, I love tech... but not like this .... working for a company 9 hours a day for a measly pay...
Idk what I am doing wrong, what I am thinking wrong...
TL;DR:
22M, final year B.E from tier-3 college. Burnt out after a year of job hunting. Targeted 6 LPA but only got a 6k internship and 2 shaky 4–4.5 LPA offers. Love engineering, science, and tech but hate how Indian colleges and low-pay corporate life kill passion. Feeling lost, frustrated, and questioning everything.
