Seeking Route advice for Copenhagen to Stockholm and Ideas for not-to-miss cycling infrastructure in those cities and between

Hello all! My husband and I are starting to figure out a bike tour between Copenhagen and Stockholm. We are based in the US and really geek out on great cycling infrastructure, so we'd love any tips on great bike trails, bridges, etc that we'd enjoy in those two cities or any of the towns in between. We'd probably stay 3+ days in each endpoint city to explore.

Our plan is to ride from Copenhagen to Malmo to Gothenburg (on the Kattegatleden) and then from Gothenburg to Stockholm (between Vanern and Vattern). Or we'd go the opposite way if there is a compelling reason.

We'd love any suggestions for riding in this area (and near Copenhagen as well). We intend to ride about 60-80 km/day, but can do less if there is a great side trip to explore.

We have a full touring set up for wild camping but I'm not sure if we will bring it and do some camping -or- leave most of it at home and stay in inns.
