My contractor told me to replace the whole shower screen, but a $15 seal strip actually fixed the leak!

I’ve lived with a small puddle outside the glass for months, thinking that’s just the "price you pay" for a frameless shower. I tried extra caulking and adjusting the hinges, but nothing worked. My contractor even told me I might need to replace the entire screen to fix the slope/gap.

Before spending thousands, I did some digging and found a guide. It pointed out the one thing I totally missed: just having a bottom sweep isn't enough for the corners.

Their team suggested adding a transparent threshold dam (like a tiny water bar) on the curb. I took a screenshot of their instruction video to show the most important part (see in my photo):

The Secret: You have to install it 100% tight against the wall or the side seal. If there’s even a 1mm gap, the water surface tension just pulls it right out onto the floor. Getting it snug against the wall was a bit of a DIY challenge, but it was so worth it.

It’s been 3 days and the bath mat is finally dry. I never thought I’d be this excited about a piece of plastic! Just wanted to share in case anyone else is tired of mopping up after every shower.
