What was your own personal “Columbus, Indiana” trip? (explained in thread)

Question — General

I spent years traveling to only big cities or well known history or geographical sites. A few years ago I decided to do a last second trip to somewhere more local, which happened to be Columbus, Indiana.

I joined an architecture tour and the rest of my day my mind was blown at the history and architecture of this little town that is not very well know (at least wasn’t to me who lives just a few hours away). Turns out little ole Columbus, Indiana is a renowned architecturally Mecca. I then watched the movie, “Columbus” which was good and looked back fondly of the spots in the love I recognized.

I think about this unexpected surprise gift if a trip quite often!
