Putting in application for apprenticeship tomorrow and am worried

Hi im applying to my local union for sheet metal in Michigan and was wondering how bad things are for women and trans women in sheet metal unions usually and have some anxiety about it. i obviously know ill have to fight some of it since i chose the trade cause im good at it somewhat but im just curious how bad it is for anyone currently in it.
