New Driver, Finally Secured Prime Shift, Still Zero Orders

I really don’t get it. I signed up last week and was unable to get any shifts in my area at the time. I tried dashing an hour away in another (smaller) town w available shifts, got no offers. Now I finally get a dinner time slot in my area (5:30 - 7:30) and station myself at two central locations for an hour each. Zero offers.

I get that it’s January. I get there’s over saturation of drivers. But how is it possible not to get any offers, even bad ones during dinner time. Like I can’t even build status within the app if there’s no opportunity to start. At least uber I get at least 1-2 offers a day, even if they’re bad. And I’ve met people who DoorDash in my area too. They said it’s bad rn too, but still netting at least $100+ a day. What am I doing wrong?
