Never used coffee beans or coffee maker/french press etc. Where to start?

Watching everyone in the sub, I want to get started with breakfast fresh coffee for myself.

But I don’t want to spend too much in the beginning. Where should I start?

What are the ideal beans? What type of equipment is beginner/budget friendly?
