Suggest me good gothic books please!

Hi, I'm looking to read more gothic books. I've found that i really love gothic themes in all types of media. I am currently working on reading and studying more so that i can write phenomenal book that I have no intention of publishing.

Please recommend me books that will not only help in my understanding of prose but gothic themes. I don't want anything from America and i don't mind reading somewhat shitty translations if the book happens to be printed in a different language originally though i only read and speak english. I love themes of autonomy and the complex human condition. I'm fine with heavy themes and imagery so I don't mind that either.
