Ireland service business owners: would you pay to offload admin work? (honest feedback wanted)
Hi — I’m based in Ireland and exploring a business idea for service-based SMEs (trades, cleaning, landscaping, property maintenance services, etc.).
The problem I keep hearing is that while demand is strong, owners lose evenings and weekends to admin — missed calls, booking and rescheduling, slow quotes, invoicing, and chasing payments.
The idea is an outsourced admin service that takes care of this day-to-day admin so the owner can focus on the work and growing the business. This company would provide all the SOPs, software and staff to manage all admin from invoicing, customer scheduling, chasing payments, bookkeeping, etc.
Before building anything, I’d really value general, honest feedback: • Does this problem resonate in your business? • Would you ever pay to have this handled externally? • What’s the admin task you most wish you didn’t have to do?
Not selling anything — just trying to validate whether this solves a real problem in the Irish market. Blunt answers welcome.
