what’s the obsession with rhaenyra being hated by her family?

something i noticed is how obsessed people are with the concept of rhaenyra being hated by the people closest to her because yeah daemon loved laena,nettles and mysaria but not rhaenyra. jace hates her for being a bastard because it’s “more realistic” than in the book even though it’s clear in the book that rhaenyra builds up their confidence, we see it when luke talks about the lies and talk not mattering when lords see his dragon and jace recruiting the dragonseeds himself and urging rhaenyra to legitimize alyn and addam because all what matters to him is protecting his family especially his brothers.

i honestly don’t mind show!jace at all and think that he did get a good storyline but he’s clearly dying without any development, trying to prove himself instead of just saving and protecting his brothers and i wonder if some other characters are going to get propped up using him again ( i don’t want to assume yet)

and the worst case of it all is when it comes to aegoniii. the takes that i hear about this child are genuinely insane. mmmm i wonder why he wears black “it’s just because he’s traumatized its not necessarily because of his mother that threw the family into war!!!!!” okay then, i wonder why he remembers the people that stood around while his mother was killed? george definitely added these scenes in for decorations and all her kids loving her is definitely fanon.

mind you there are also takes about baela hating that she betrothed her to a bastard. mmmm i wonder then with baela’s personality why would she ask jace to get married in the middle of war? i agree that it’s sad the girls get betrothed without their choice and at that time it was hard for them to express their opinions so ignoring her personality the why would she ask to get married and not just ignore him until he dies?
