Giving credit where credit is due

If there is one positive thing that Nitch has done for me personally, it is no doubt the friendships I have made here on Reddit and also on YouTube.

Like many on this sub, I joined after trying to find out what happened to Kari when she dropped out of sight after the Good Stuff Thrift Store opened for business.

Anyway, cutting a long story short, friendships were made, trips were planned and emails were sent. This culminated in a wonderful treasure trove of beads, pearls and findings being sent from Embarrassed Saladd on the west coast to Aldi on the east coast where I picked them up one gorgeous October Saturday afternoon in the wilds of somewhere in New Jersey ! Gifts were given and this made room in my luggage for about ten pounds of beads 😜

On my return home to Sydney Australia (for those of you who didn't know) I started unboxing and organising. In my heart, mind and soul I am honouring the bead stash's original owner Linda (who sadly passed away a few years ago) by making some gorgeous pieces, some of which I filmed myself making for YouTube. My YouTube channel is in my real government name (lol Pookie) but if you search TopazMoon Design, you will surely find it.

One of the first necklaces I made from Linda's stash was with pale blue kyanite beads with a sterling silver pendant sent with a stone called Pietersite. I posted it to Kari the Desert Mermaid without first taking a photo, but she is going to send me a photo.

Kari is having a jewellery live YouTube sale on Monday 19 January, at 6 pm pacific time, that's 9 pm eastern time, she is cohosting with Rebecca who was the manager at the Good Stuff Thrift Store and who was also used and abused by her association with Nitch. The kyanite necklace with the Pietersite sterling silver pendant is going to be auctioned with the proceeds going to a local Las Vegas women's shelter.
