Yamaha YZF R1 1000cc

I need any and all necessary facts about buying this bike. I'm 23(F) and I'm debating on getting a bike rather than a car. Or at least a sh$t box first and riding this as my main. Considering a 2010 Toyota Tacoma. I've grown up on four wheelers and only had one accident on the Yamaha, it was flipped. But kinda wonder how different it must be. First big purchase kind of thing. Comments please range from anything to insurance to your personal experiences please and thank you. (:
