Same Day Cash Upgrade - NYC - Athens, Greece

I’m flying Delta from NYC to Greece in a few months and was curious if Delta ever offers same-day upgrades for cash.

Last year on Air France, I was offered a business class upgrade for $800 from NYC to Paris, so I wanted to see if Delta ever offers something similar — or if there’s a best practice for securing a discounted upgrade closer to departure.

Thank you!
