Don’t know if my friend wants to be saved from her toxic relationship

My current situation is my close friend is in a relationship that isn’t healthy. Just yesterday she called crying and told me he put his hands on her and took her keys, phone, and wallet. went to go pick her up and she tells me that she’s gonna take all his stuff out and that she’s done with the relationship and she’ll call me when she needs help. Never got a call or text. Tried texting and calling her with no answer so I pull up to her house with my bf to check that she was okay. She comes out and says everything is okay, and that instead in the morning she’ll end the relationship. Text her this morning asking if everything’s okay and she says she’s okay. Said we’ll hang out later but never got a message to say that she was ready to hang out. I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to seem overly watchful, checking in on her like a helicopter parent but I’m worried. I want to call the police and maybe have them do a welfare check on her? But I’m scared that he might do something to her. I don’t know if she’s just deciding that she’s going to stay or if he’s pressuring her in some type of way? I’m really worried about her and I don’t want to do the wrong thing and upset her to where she pushes me away or not take any action and something worse happens.
