My XR-83A90J Remote Won't Respond! Please Help!

So I changed the batteries in my XR-83A90J Bravia remote and now it won't work! I've tried unplugging the tv for several minutes and taking the batteries out of the remote for a few minutes but nothing works. It's like the remote is completely dead.

Does anyone know if there's a common fix for this?
