Alpha testers wanted for Subtext – the 'nutritional label' for books

We’re looking for alpha testers for Subtext, an AI-powered ‘nutritional label’ for books. Subtext uses a deep taxonomy to reveal not just what happens in a story, but how it might impact readers by highlighting specific trigger warnings, age ratings, spice levels, and tropes.

Our multi-model AI pipeline standardises content warnings based on Australian Classification Board standards and internet culture. It detects severity across six categories (violence, sex, language, themes, drug use, nudity), surfaces BookTok vibes and representation, and enables nuanced queries like finding a romance with a Black protagonist and no race-based trauma.
