Really happy with the direction of the B line and subway system!

Discussion

Just as the heading says, a recent commenter pointed this out and I just gotta give LA Metro credit. 3 years ago I would never even step foot into the subway stations. There was open drug use, dirty station platforms, people visibily suffering with being unhoused, and it was a dystopian vibe.

I got lucky catching the new rail car recently and wow...the lights, the cleanliness, the calm vibe, I ws able to take out my phone without looking over my shoulder, the stations have new brighter lighting , new metro security and staff, and the new fare gates really make a difference (they need to put new fare gates and tap to exit everywhere possible).

All in all super happy with the progress and ZERO homicides on rail this year, keep it up LA Metro! Can't wait for the new subway cars to be delivered, the new 7th Street Metro renovation, D line extensions, and housing proposals on top of NoHo station and Centro Westlake.
