Friends cat needs help

My friends cat got hit by a car the other month and has been disabled from the bottom half and is crawling on it's front 2 paws to get around and has problem going to the bathroom are there any services where I can take the cat , that don't uthenize and would try to rehabilitate or give the cat the care it needs ,so the cat has a fighting chance.i know in these kind of situations people think it would be best to uthenize the cat to ease it's suffering but it isn't meowing in pain or anything it's just disabled what should he do. He's tried doctors but they said they can't do anything or to uthanize it and that's just not an option for them at this point.please any advice would help they've looked into all options they know of at the moment. also we are in San Jose , California.
