“ZenDesk” – A AI-Orchestrated Productivity Hub built entirely in TRAE SOLO mode

Showcase

ZenDesk is a "minimalist command center" for developers. It combines:

  • Context-Aware Task List: Uses AI to categorize your tasks based on your current project files.

  • Smart Focus Timer: A Pomodoro timer that automatically suggests breaks when it detects high code-churn in the IDE.

  • Documentation Crawler: A built-in agent that scrapes and summarizes the latest documentation for any library you’re currently using.

  • Quick-Deploy Dashboard: A one-click panel to monitor Vercel/Supabase status for your current build.

This project was a 90/10 split between TRAE and me.

  1. Planning: I started in SOLO mode with a single prompt: *"Build a productivity hub for devs that lives inside my workspace. It needs a task list, a Pomodoro timer synced to my coding activity, and a doc summarizer."*
  2. Execution: SOLO automatically architected the frontend (React) and the backend agents (using TRAE's Agent framework). It handled the MCP server setup to let the app "read" my local files for context.
  3. Refining: Whenever I wanted a UI change (like "make the timer more minimalist"), I used Voice Input in SOLO to explain the vibe, and it updated the CSS instantly.
