Older folks or anyone based on your experience how does one make sense of a loved one death? How do you move on accepting they are no longer here?

I recently lost my uncle someone I had a very close and meaningful relationship with and this is my first time experiencing grief from the loss of someone I deeply loved. My emotions feel like a roller coaster. Between the memories, the flashbacks, and constantly replaying how things led to his death, the should-haves, could-haves, and would-haves have been overwhelming.

I keep wondering how people come to terms with losing someone they love. Do you eventually move on? Do you forget them, or do you learn how to carry them with you? I know many people have experienced this kind of loss, and I’d really appreciate hearing different perspectives on how to navigate grief.
