Floor drain concrete wear - cause for concern?
Lately my softener has started to dump some resin beads down the drain on regen. I asked a local water treatment company and they said it’s pretty common to happen in the winter when things are more harsh and not a concern (live in the midwest). Not sure how true this is but wanting a second opinion.
What ends up happening is I find the orange resin beads just resting on top and all around the drain. I cleaned them off for now, but I was wondering if the resin beads could be causing the surrounding concrete to break down? I don’t recall seeing the white surround of the drain cover before, but perhaps it’s just me. It’s become very brittle especially in the top area in the photo where it’s somewhat damp/dark
