Anybody have bloodwork abnormalities before they realized or were told it was gallbladder related?
To start my story off, went to my PCP back in August for a routine physical and bloodwork (since I was overdue for it) and also for some strange “heartburn” like pain with bloating I’d been experiencing.
Well my bloodwork actually revealed my bilirubin and cholesterol are elevated (don’t know the exact amount). It was suggested to me to try supportive stuff like medication and dietary modifications to see if it helps.
Obviously since I’m writing this out it now hasn’t gotten better. In fact it’s gotten worse, the “heartburn” isn’t heartburn, it’s the oh so familiar dull ➡️ to painful URQ rib pain I’ve been reading about while lurking on here. Pain, bloating, pressure, constipation?, feeling full after eating, and attacks are triggered by eating any food (doesn’t matter what it is cause I literally ate homemade Korean fried chicken over the weekend and was fine??!, I feel like there’s no rhyme or reason to this😩).
Anywho, my question is: did anyone have abnormal bloodwork results and suspect gallbladder? I only thought about it because of this subreddit and someone close to me had an emergency gallbladder removal recently that made me curious, then suspicious after some googling that I may have it or something similar (like other GI issues or a hernia because it runs in the family).
**and yes I’ve made an appointment with a GI specialist to get this checked out; I was just curious what everyone else’s experiences were so it could help calm my anxiety.
