Does market/news sentiment actually matter for day trading?

Hi everyone, I'm brand new to trading, and ive been kind of overwhelmed by all of the different tools / dashboards, and I don't know what to pay attention to regarding news / overall market sentiment.

For people here who are experienced and actively day trade,

• do you guys actually look at the news / market sentiment?
• based on your experience have these sentiment "scores" been accurate and actually affect the market?
• or do you guys just trade off of price and indicators etc?

Im just trying to understand what is genuinely useful. I would appreciate any advice.
