My mom constantly ignores me when she's mad

Hi everyone.

So my mom is very quick to change moods. It seems like its very easy for her to get in a mood about something that I or one of my sisters did or said.

When this happens, she cries and says that she does so much for us and we're going to treat her like that. By "that" she means, us talking back to her when she's saying something wrong that she thinks is factual. Another example of "that" is if she sees that my sisters and I's bathroom is a little messy, she gets herself worked up over that as well.

When she's in one of her moods, she ignores us. Or if she's mad at one of us, she'll ignore that person but then still talk and be nice to the other two. She also never seems to get mad at her husband, our stepdad.

She doesn't understand that when she ignores us, me specifically, it hurts. It genuinely hurts me. It makes me think about myself in a negative light, like I'm not good enough. I know it's not that deep but I can't help it.

I want to talk to her about how she makes me feel, but she's the kind of mom to turn things back around on me to make her seem like the good person and me the bad person.

Does anyone have any advice on how I should approach her about this? Thanks for listening. :)
