Pet Deposit Repay? OK

So I moved into my apartment in about 2021 and I live in Oklahoma (for legal context) and when I moved in I paid a pet deposit in order to move my animals in with me. My apartment has traded hands twice now. The second people had no issues with any of our deposits. However now the newest set of people have told us they don't have a pet deposit from us and are trying to make us pay a second time. Are they allowed to do that? I have proof we paid the original pet deposit.
