Has anyone taken POLI 137 (Sports Analytics Approach to the Social Sciences)?

I’m currently enrolled in POLI 137 with Professor Sebastián M. Saiegh, and I’m trying to decide whether to stick with the class or drop it. So far, lectures don’t use any slides or visual material; he mostly just recites or summarizes the readings during class time. I was expecting more applied content, examples, or data/analytics work given the course title, so I’m a bit unsure if it gets better or more engaging later in the quarter. Any thoughts from former students, please?
