How were you supposed to deduce the portrait puzzle in Code Veronica
Hello, so I know there's a ton of answers already about the portrait room and the solution is readily available but I just want to know the deduction aspect of this puzzle.
SPOILER: For those who don't know the solution; it should be >!Veronica, guy with two babies, redhead guy with teacup, redhead guy with plate, man with vase and man with candlelight.!<
My question is in regards to the last two portraits. From the memo you can deduce the first four portraits pretty easily I would say, but it specifically mentions in the memo that the vase was given to Alfred and on the room the candle states that it was given to Alfred's father Alexander.
From this memo then shouldn't it be Man with Candlestick first and then Man with Vase? Or from the wording of the memo where it states "...present you with an...vase, according to the Ashford Family Tradition." Am I supposed to interpret the "Ashford Family Tradition" part as Edward being the original owner of the vase and then he passed it on to his grandchild similar to what >!Veronica did to her kids and grandkids!< If so, doesn't that seem odd since the plate portrait really stands out poorly?
Anyway, what do y'all think? Was this how you were supposed to deduce this and if the remake does happen do you hope there's a bit more clearer language in the memo?
Thank you everyone.
