What power level would you want from a stricter banlist format?

Having been in and out of the game since its inception, I’ve seen a number of people want to play with modern cards but a lower power level. Genesys format was billed as a lower power format, but there’s been some discussion as to whether it was what people were hoping.

SO, my question to the fellow Yugioh community: IF there was format with MODERN cards, just WAY stricter bans/limits what era would you want it to feel closest to?

GOAT? Edison? HAT? TOSS?

I’ve seen some takes like Farfa’s Last Card Standing and Distant Coder’s banlist stream and different banlists seems like an idea people enjoy
