book where two strangers/people fall in love but no one makes the first move?

i have a specific itch that needs scratching because of an ad on instagram (link in comment section).

i’ve read a sort of similar short story titled ‘missed connection’ from ‘someone who will love you in all your damaged glory’ by raphael bob waksberg.

it doesn’t have to be exact, i’m just looking for the exploration of human nervousness and the yearning and ‘what-if’s that comes with it.
