Bangkok best areas to live

Hello everyone, we are looking for apartments to live in Bangkok. For now for two months and then we will see. I am wondering which areas of the city you recommend or not for living. We want to be walking distance from BTS, but also appreciate at least a bit of quiet during the night. We only got here a month ago, so don't have favourite places yet, but loving the city and the vibe :-)
