Repeated indecent exposure complaints at a Planet Fitness management refusing to act
I’m posting to get clarity on Planet Fitness policy, because what’s happening at my location feels seriously wrong.
There is a male member who already had prior restrictions placed on him because of inappropriate behavior toward women — to the point that he was instructed not to approach or speak to female members.
Despite that history, there have now been multiple incidents where female members independently reported seeing this same individual’s genitalia exposed while he was stretching. This has happened more than once, including two complaints in a single day from different women.
Management has dismissed the exposure as “accidental” and has refused to suspend or ban him, even after being reminded that:
• this is a repeat issue
• the member already had prior restrictions for misconduct
• women reported feeling uncomfortable and unsafe
My question to other PF employees and managers here is:
• Is repeated genital exposure by a member with prior restrictions really considered acceptable under Planet Fitness policy?
• At what point is a membership supposed to be terminated for member conduct?
• How is “Judgment Free Zone” supposed to apply when multiple women are reporting sexual exposure?
I’m asking in good faith because protecting members should come before protecting a problematic member, especially when there’s a documented pattern.
