Drivers are... something??

Support

I downgraded my ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 laptop from windows 11 to windows 10, but it didn't have any internet or bluetooth options in the network and internet button.

After a lot of research and trying to fix the problem myself, I discovered that the Device Manager listed 4 things in Other Devices, all with the yellow "!" icon. Network Controller, PCI data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller, Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller and Unknown Device.

The Network Controller I discovered was the MediaTek Wi-Fi 7 MT7925 Wireless LAN driver. The PCI thing was the AMD MEP Enumerator. The USB Controller was the AMD USB4 Host Router driver. The Unknown Device was the Microsoft Pluton Processor.

I tried to install the driver for the Network Controller but it refused because "not needed (no device for upgrade)". I tried to uninstall it, and then reinstalled it using the installer from the ASUS website, where the driver still didn't work. I tried to install it when uninstalled and after I installed it again using the ASUS one, I tried to install the driver from a device driver installation wizard again and it said the same thing.

From what I've read, I theorise that the issue is a Windows 11 driver is still installed and cannot be removed for some reason, or that the controller itself is not compatible with Windows 10.

If you need any other information, feel free to ask and I'll do my best to find it. I really need to get this thing connected to the internet wirelessly because wired isn't an option for me.

Thank you for reading through.
