Making sense of my wife's retirement account types and benefits

Hi all

I'm trying to understand my wife's retirement account benefits.

Info:

  • She is a physician in academic university and health system

  • Annual salary $300,000-$350,000

4 accounts she has available

  1. XXX Defined Contribution Retirement Plan 403b (25% employer match up to 6% of employee contributions + 4.5% annual employer contribution)

  2. YY Voluntary 403b Tax Deferred Annuity Program (no employer match)

  3. YY Retirement Plan 401a (10% employer contribution)

  4. Z 457b

She gets two separate paychecks every pay period but I believe it all goes into each of these accounts how ever she chooses.

Questions

  1. After the initial employee 6% contribution into account #1, is there any difference in contributing to either account #1 or #2 assuming investments are the same in each?

  2. Is there a meaningful difference in a regular 403b vs a 403b "Tax Deferred ANnuity Progarm" when it comes to retirement? From what I'm reading at the time of retirement, even if early retierment, we can transfer the amount from account #2 into a traditional IRA just the same as from account #1?

  3. The total employer contribution of accounts #1 and #2 + employee contribution amounts can not exceed $72,000 (she has no other elective deferral accounts except for whats listed)

  4. Account #4 is a 457b, we can choose to elect up to another $24,500 which is independent of her 403b employee contribution max

Am I looking at this correctly?
