This was in Kentwood, LA if anyone is interested.
I was filling up at a gas station on my way back from New Orleans and walked inside to see a whale just there on a shelf. Originally, the clerk told me it was $1200. I’m not familiar enough with prices so i thanked him and went back to my vehicle to research.
After confirming it was a good price- I went back in to buy. The clerk had to make a call beforehand for some reason and then became very cagey with me. When he rang it up, the price read $1299- $1429 or so with taxes.
I pushed him on the price and he became more of an asshole. That, coupled with the new price, rubbed me the wrong way so I passed on the purchase.
It’s been a day. I’m still thinking about it. That’s the only time I’ve seen one in my entire life and when I see bourbon hunters finding it on YouTube the price is much higher.
Did I blow it?
